Air Fryer Mozzarella Balls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dairy

01 - 227 g mozzarella cheese (string cheese, block, or mozzarella pearls)

→ Breading

02 - 65 g plain breadcrumbs
03 - 65 g seasoned breadcrumbs
04 - 1 large egg, beaten
05 - 32 g all-purpose flour
06 - 0.5 teaspoon salt
07 - 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Cut mozzarella into bite-sized pieces if using block cheese; separate string cheese or use mozzarella pearls as is.
02 - Place flour in one shallow bowl. In a second bowl, add the beaten egg. In a third bowl, combine the plain and seasoned breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper.
03 - Coat each mozzarella piece by rolling in flour, dipping in beaten egg, and covering thoroughly with the breadcrumb mixture. Ensure all sides are evenly coated.
04 - Preheat air fryer to 190°C. Lightly coat the basket with cooking spray. Arrange mozzarella balls in a single layer without crowding. Air fry for 5 to 6 minutes, shaking the basket halfway, until golden brown and crisp.
05 - Remove from the air fryer and cool briefly. Serve warm with marinara or preferred dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - For best results, freeze breaded mozzarella for 10 minutes before air frying to reduce cheese leakage.
