Balsamic Strawberry Goat Cheese Toast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 French baguette, sliced into 2.5 cm thick pieces

→ Topping

02 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and thinly sliced
03 - 115 grams goat cheese, softened
04 - 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze
05 - 1 tablespoon honey
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh basil, finely chopped
07 - 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 190°C.
02 - Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and lightly brush the tops with extra virgin olive oil.
03 - Bake the prepared baguette slices for 5 to 7 minutes, or until golden and slightly crisp. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly.
04 - While the bread toasts, combine the sliced strawberries, honey, and a pinch of salt in a medium bowl. Gently mix to enhance sweetness.
05 - Generously spread softened goat cheese onto each piece of toasted baguette.
06 - Top each cheese-covered toast with an even layer of the sweetened strawberries.
07 - Drizzle balsamic glaze over the strawberries. Finish with chopped fresh basil and a dash of black pepper.
