Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grab the potatoes and slice them really thin, about a quarter-inch.

In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium. Toss in the onion and garlic, let them cook until they smell great. Stir in the ground beef, sprinkle with paprika, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper, then cook until nicely browned.

Spray or grease your baking pan. Lay down half the potatoes. Add half the browned beef on top. Sprinkle half your cheddar. Do another layer the same way, and pour in the beef broth (add milk, too, if you’re using it).

Cover with foil and pop in the oven for around 35-40 minutes. After that, take the foil off, sprinkle with Parmesan, and bake for another 10 minutes until golden on top.

Let it sit for a few minutes before digging in. Add a touch of parsley on top, and enjoy this warm, cheesy dish with family or friends!
