Get your oven hot at 350°F (180°C).

Cut the bread in a grid pattern, going both ways but don't slice through the bottom. Put it on a baking sheet lined with foil.

Stir together the diced green onions, melted butter, and seeds if you're using them.

Tuck cheese slices between all the cuts in the bread.

Pour your butter and onion mix all over, making sure it gets into the cuts.

Wrap with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then take off the foil and bake another 10 minutes until the cheese gets all melty.
