Pizza Lava Toast (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Garlic Butter

01 - 2 tablespoons room temp salted butter
02 - 2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic
03 - ½ teaspoon oregano, dried
04 - ¼ teaspoon dried basil leaves
05 - ¼ teaspoon regular salt
06 - ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Toast Base

07 - 4 thick bread slices (either white or brown)
08 - 2 slices of sharp cheddar
09 - ½ cup tomato pizza sauce
10 - 1 cup mozzarella, shredded

→ Toppings

11 - Small pepperoni rounds
12 - Chopped fresh mushrooms
13 - Diced sweet peppers
14 - Black olives, thinly sliced
15 - Red pepper flakes to finish
16 - Sprinkle of dried oregano

# Instructions:

01 - Warm up your oven to 375°F (190°C) before you start.
02 - Combine the soft butter with chopped garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper until everything's well mixed.
03 - Lay your bread on a baking tray, smear with your garlic butter mix, and toast in the middle of the oven for about 5 minutes until they turn light gold.
04 - Turn over two of your toasted slices, put cheddar on each, then top with the other slices (butter facing down). Press the center to create a dip for your toppings.
05 - Pour sauce into the middle dip, cover with mozzarella, and arrange your chosen toppings on top.
06 - Stick them back in the oven for 8-10 minutes till everything melts. Then switch to broil for a minute or two for a crispy top. Add some red pepper flakes and oregano to finish.

# Notes:

01 - Sturdy, thick bread works better as it won't get soggy from the toppings
02 - Switch up toppings based on what you like most
03 - Keep an eye on them while broiling so they don't burn
