Italian Christmas Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups of powdered sugar.
02 - 1/2 cup whole milk.
03 - 4 cups of plain flour.
04 - 1 cup of granulated sugar.
05 - 2 eggs, beaten gently.
06 - 1 tablespoon of baking powder.
07 - 3/4 cup of vegetable oil.
08 - 1 tablespoon of almond flavoring.
09 - 1 tablespoon of almond flavoring for icing.
10 - 1 1/2 tablespoons of warm water.
11 - Some colorful nonpareils for decoration.

# Instructions:

01 - Warm your oven up to 375°F and grab some baking sheets. Cover them with parchment or silicone mats.
02 - Mix all the dry stuff together, then make a hole in the center. Pour in the wet stuff and stir till smooth.
03 - Roll dough into small 1-inch balls and place on trays. Gently press them and bake for about 8-10 minutes until firm but pale.
04 - Mix the powdered sugar, almond flavoring, and warm water together until it's thick like honey.
05 - Dip cookies twice while warm, then toss on the sprinkles after the second dip. Let them sit till dry.

# Notes:

01 - Avoid over-baking; they're done when still pale.
02 - Double dipping keeps them soft and yummy.
03 - You can switch out almond for another extract.
