Dump the milk, water, oats, salt, sweetener, and vanilla into a big pot with a thick base. Bring it up to a bubbling boil, lower the heat, and let it cook about 10 minutes. Keep stirring, so it doesn't stick or burn. Stop when it thickens and almost all liquid is gone.

As the oats cook, give the strawberries a good rinse and pat them dry. Cut off the tops. Take one-third of them and blend them until smooth, chop another third into small pieces, and slice up the last third for putting on top later.
03 -
Once your oatmeal's nice and thick, mix in the blended strawberry puree, the strawberry chunks, and the cream or coconut oil if you're using any (this part's optional). Stir everything together gently but don't reheat or you'll lose the fresh flavor! Skip this step if storing for later.
04 -
Spoon the oatmeal into your bowls, sprinkle on those sliced strawberries you set aside, and serve right away. Enjoy every warm bite!
