Creamy Sausage Soup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Cheese tortellini - 10 ounces.
02 - Kale, chopped - 2 cups.
03 - Chicken broth - 5 cups.
04 - Heavy cream - 1 cup.
05 - Red pepper flakes - 1 pinch.
06 - Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon.
07 - Mustard powder - 1/2 teaspoon.
08 - Hot sauce - 1 teaspoon.
09 - Cayenne - 1 pinch.
10 - Oregano - 1/2 teaspoon.
11 - Dried basil - 1 teaspoon.
12 - All-purpose flour - 3 tablespoons.
13 - Garlic cloves, minced - 3.
14 - Yellow onion, diced - 1 small.
15 - Italian sausage - 1 pound.

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the onions and sausage on medium heat for about 8-10 minutes. Drain any extra grease, then toss in the garlic and let it cook for 60 seconds.
02 - Mix in the flour and stir constantly for 1-2 minutes to cook it through.
03 - Toss all the spices and herbs into the pot. Stir it up so they're evenly mixed.
04 - Pour broth into the pot, making sure to loosen any bits stuck to the bottom. Gradually add the cream while stirring, then bring it to a boil before turning it down to simmer.
05 - Add in the tortellini and kale. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the pasta's tender. Taste and add salt if needed.

# Notes:

01 - You can use spinach instead of kale.
02 - Throw in a parmesan rind for more flavor.
03 - This works in a slow cooker too.
