Crispy Roasted Cabbage (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 clove garlic, minced finely
02 - ¼ teaspoon black pepper
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 1 medium green cabbage head
05 - ½ teaspoon salt

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to heat up to 400°F and give it a few minutes to reach temperature.
02 - Cut off about an inch off the cabbage stem. Take off loose or dark leaves, then lay it flat and slice it into thick circular slabs about ¾ to 1-inch wide.
03 - Lay parchment paper on a big baking tray. Spread the cabbage steak pieces out side by side evenly.
04 - Mix together garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Brush it generously across both sides of the cabbage pieces until fully covered.
05 - Put the tray in the oven and bake for roughly 20-22 minutes. Take it out when the edges look browned and caramelized.
06 - Season with extra salt and pepper if you'd like, then enjoy while it's hot.

# Notes:

01 - Grab a heavy cabbage with firm leaves to avoid it falling apart when slicing.
02 - Experiment with your go-to herbs to switch up the flavors.
03 - Get the garlic and cabbage prepped ahead—store them separately in the fridge for a few days before cooking.
04 - Store leftovers in a flat layer in the fridge for 3-4 days. You can also freeze them for a few months, but the texture might change.
05 - Rewarm them quickly in a 350°F air fryer for about 3-5 minutes. You can also use an oven at 300°F for 5-8 minutes, or throw them on a stovetop skillet for a bit. Skip microwaving to keep the texture intact.
