Cheesy Mozzarella Snacks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
02 - 12 string cheese sticks made of mozzarella.
03 - 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese (100g).
04 - ½ teaspoon garlic powder.
05 - 2 large eggs, beaten.
06 - ¼ teaspoon salt.
07 - 1½ cups seasoned breadcrumbs (150g).
08 - 1 cup all-purpose flour (125g).
09 - Vegetable oil to fry (or use spray if baking).

# Instructions:

01 - Slice each mozzarella stick into three shorter pieces. Freeze them for about half an hour to keep them firm.
02 - Put the flour into one dish. Use another bowl for whisked eggs. Combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, seasoning, and salt in a third dish.
03 - Dust each frozen cheese piece in flour first, coat it with egg, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture. For a crunchier finish, repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating.
04 - Lay the coated cheese pieces on a tray and freeze again for 15-20 minutes. This makes sure they don't melt when cooked.
05 - Warm up oil in a deep pan to 350°F. Fry the cheese bites for 1–2 minutes till they're golden. Drain them on paper towels.
06 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange the cheese bites on a lined tray, spray lightly with cooking spray, and bake them for 8–10 minutes until their outsides are crispy.

# Notes:

01 - You can prep these ahead and freeze them.
02 - Adding a second coat of crumbs makes each bite crispier.
03 - They're best when served warm with a dipping sauce.
