Game Day Chex Mix (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Green Puppy Chow

01 - 4 cups of Chex cereal
02 - 1 cup of green candy melts
03 - 1/2 tablespoon cooking oil
04 - 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
05 - 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar

→ Brown Puppy Chow

06 - 4 cups of Chex cereal
07 - 1 cup of chocolate chips
08 - 1/2 tablespoon cooking oil
09 - 1/4 cup smooth peanut butter
10 - 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar

→ Football Decorations

11 - Plain almonds
12 - 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar for frosting
13 - 1/2 teaspoon meringue powder
14 - 1/2 tablespoon water
15 - White, green or brown candy pieces

# Instructions:

01 - Combine confectioners' sugar, meringue powder, and water till it looks flat. Put this mix in a squeeze bottle. Make center lines on almonds, wait 5-10 minutes to dry, then add the football lacing marks. Let them fully set.
02 - Put Chex into a big ziplock bag. Heat green candy melts with oil and peanut butter until runny. Dump over cereal and give it a good shake. Toss in confectioners' sugar and shake again till everything's covered.
03 - Drop Chex into a large ziplock bag. Warm chocolate chips with oil and peanut butter. Pour the mixture over your cereal and shake it up. Add confectioners' sugar and shake again until fully coated.
04 - Toss both green and brown mixes into a big bowl. Sprinkle in candy pieces and your homemade almond footballs. Best when eaten right away.

# Notes:

01 - You can make this 2-3 days early and keep it in a sealed container
02 - Sprinkle in extra confectioners' sugar if the mix gets too gooey
