Honey Garlic Pork Rice Bowl (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pork and Preparation

01 - 450 g boneless country-style pork ribs or shoulder, cut into 2.5 cm cubes
02 - 2 teaspoons cornstarch (optional)
03 - Kosher salt, to taste
04 - Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Cooking and Sauce

05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
06 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
07 - 4 cloves garlic, finely minced
08 - 60 ml honey
09 - 45 ml low-sodium chicken or beef stock
10 - 15–30 ml lemon juice
11 - 1 teaspoon hot sauce (such as Sriracha, optional)

→ To Serve

12 - 1 teaspoon red chili pepper flakes, for garnish
13 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley and scallion, for garnish
14 - 2 cups cooked rice
15 - 1 cup steamed broccoli florets

# Instructions:

01 - Combine pork cubes with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Toss until all pieces are evenly coated.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter, then introduce the seasoned pork cubes, searing them on all sides until golden brown, about 6 to 8 minutes. Work in batches to ensure proper browning.
03 - Add minced garlic, honey, stock, lemon juice, and hot sauce (if desired) to the pan. Stir well to coat pork thoroughly and simmer for several minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and clings to the pork.
04 - Garnish pork with chopped parsley and chili pepper flakes. Serve over cooked rice with steamed broccoli florets, distributing any remaining sauce over the bowl.

# Notes:

01 - For the most tender bites, avoid overcrowding the pan while browning pork, ensuring caramelization rather than steaming.
