01 -
Grab a wide, flat container that has a cover and pour in your confectioners sugar. You'll use this later to coat your sweet treats.
02 -
Dump your white chocolate chips into a bowl that's not too big or small. Just put it aside while you work on the next part.
03 -
Slowly melt your butter with the orange peel in a small pot. Add your cream and warm it up until it's almost bubbling. Mix in the orange flavoring, a couple drops of color, and that tiny bit of salt to make everything taste better.
04 -
Pour your warm cream mix through a strainer onto the white chocolate to catch all the orange bits. Stir everything until it's all smooth and blended well.
05 -
Let it sit out for a bit to cool, then wrap it up and stick it in the fridge until it's firm enough to work with, usually 1-2 hours. Stir it with a fork every half hour so it cools evenly.
06 -
Scoop little heaps of the cold mix with a melon baller or cookie scoop and roll them into 1-inch balls. Quick tip: if it sticks to your hands, put a bit of powdered sugar on them.
07 -
Roll each ball in your powdered sugar until they're completely covered. For the best texture, chill them at least 30 minutes (or freeze for 20 if you're in a hurry) before you eat them.
