Mix hot water with sugar and stir until the sugar melts completely.

Put the peach slices, mint leaves, and half of the syrup into a medium bowl. Mash them up until the mint looks bruised and the peaches are a bit mushy.

Move the mashed mixture into a pitcher and pour in the rest of the syrup.

Toss ice into the pitcher, then add the sparkling waters, and stir slowly to mix.

Pour the drink into glasses and pretty them up with mint and peach slices.
