Potato Honey Cake Treat (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1½ cup sweet potato mash.
02 - 15.25 oz box of yellow cake mix.
03 - 4 ounces soft cream cheese.
04 - ¾ cup cooking oil.
05 - 4 large eggs at room temp.
06 - 1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring.
07 - ½ cup packed light brown sugar.
08 - ¾ teaspoon cinnamon powder.
09 - 1 teaspoon ginger powder.
10 - ¼ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg.
11 - 1¼ cup powdered sugar.
12 - 3 tablespoons fresh milk.
13 - 1 tablespoon real maple syrup.

# Instructions:

01 - Get your oven hot at 350F with the rack in the middle. Coat a 9x13 dish with cooking spray. Combine all the spice swirl stuff in a small bowl.
02 - Throw the cake mix, sweet potato, soft cream cheese, oil, eggs and vanilla into your stand mixer. Whisk for a minute till everything's blended.
03 - Put half the mix in your pan, sprinkle the spices on top, then add the rest of the batter. Run a knife through it to make swirls but don't mix it completely.
04 - Pop it in the oven for 27-29 minutes until it's golden and starts pulling away from the edges. Let it sit in the pan for 30 minutes to cool down.
05 - Stir together the powdered sugar, milk and maple syrup for your topping. Spread it all over the cake after it's cooled. Wait another 10 minutes before you cut into it.

# Notes:

01 - You'll get 24 squares about 2x2 inches each.
02 - Sweet potatoes from a can work fine too.
03 - Make sure your cream cheese isn't cold.
