Easy Turkey Curry (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 garlic cloves, minced finely
02 - 1 teaspoon salt, adjust to taste
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
04 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
05 - 1 ¼ cups canned coconut milk (full-fat)
06 - ½ white onion, chopped up small
07 - 1 pound (454g) ground turkey (90/10)
08 - 1 teaspoon garam masala
09 - 1 ½ teaspoons curry powder
10 - Cooked basmati rice to serve with
11 - ¼ teaspoon ground cumin
12 - ⅛ teaspoon turmeric powder
13 - Fresh cilantro, finely chopped (optional for topping)
14 - ⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper or more if you like it spicy

# Instructions:

01 - In a big pan, warm up the olive oil over medium heat. Stir in the diced onion and let it soften and turn see-through in about 3-4 minutes.
02 - Toss the garlic and ground turkey into the pan. Break the meat apart while cooking, continuing for 7-8 minutes until no pink is left.
03 - Mix curry powder, garam masala, cumin, turmeric, cayenne, salt, and black pepper in a little bowl. Pour the spices and coconut milk into the pan and stir everything together well.
04 - Turn the heat down to low. Let everything bubble gently for around 10 minutes, so the sauce thickens up and the flavors become richer.
05 - Spoon the turkey mixture over warm basmati rice. Sprinkle with fresh cilantro on top if you'd like.

# Notes:

01 - Want more texture or nutrients? Throw in veggies like peas, diced carrots, or bell peppers.
