Valentine Salty Sweet Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Cookie Foundation

01 - Room temperature unsalted butter (¾ cup)
02 - Packed dark brown sugar (¾ cup)
03 - Regular white sugar (¼ cup)
04 - Two room temperature large egg yolks
05 - Real vanilla extract (2 tablespoons)
06 - Regular flour (1½ cups)
07 - Baking soda (½ teaspoon)
08 - Baking powder (¼ teaspoon)
09 - Table salt (¼ teaspoon)

→ Add-ins

10 - Smashed potato chips (⅓ cup)
11 - Snapped pretzel bits (⅓ cup)
12 - Valentine's Day colored M&M's (½ cup)
13 - White chocolate morsels (¼ cup)
14 - Valentine's themed sprinkle mix (2 tablespoons)

# Instructions:

01 - Warm your oven to 350°F and put parchment on two cookie sheets.
02 - Using an electric mixer, beat the soft butter with both sugars on medium for about 2 minutes until it's fluffy.
03 - Mix in the egg yolks and vanilla until everything looks pale and airy, taking around 2 minutes.
04 - Put in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir just enough to mix it all together without seeing any flour streaks.
05 - Use a spatula to carefully fold the M&M's, white chocolate morsels, pretzel bits, potato chip chunks, and sprinkles into the dough.
06 - Drop spoonfuls onto your lined sheets, cooking 6 cookies at once for 10-12 minutes. If you want flatter treats, push them down after 10 minutes, then cook 2-3 more minutes till the edges turn golden.
07 - If you want, use a glass to make each hot cookie perfectly round. Let them sit on the pans for 5 minutes before moving to a rack.

# Notes:

01 - Use a glass to circle around hot cookies for perfect round shapes
02 - If your cookies stay too thick, gently flatten them as they finish baking
