Cinnamon Apple Fritters Vanilla Glaze (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the fritters

01 - ½ tsp salt
02 - 2 cups all-purpose flour
03 - 2 tsp cinnamon
04 - ¼ cup sugar
05 - 1 tbsp baking powder
06 - ½ cup milk
07 - 2 large eggs
08 - Vegetable oil, for frying
09 - 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
10 - 2 medium apples, peeled, cored, and chopped into chunks

→ For the vanilla glaze

11 - 1 cup powdered sugar
12 - 1 tsp vanilla extract
13 - 2–3 tbsp milk

# Instructions:

01 - Stir the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt in a big mixing bowl. In another one, whisk together the milk, eggs, and vanilla. Slowly blend the two mixtures until just combined, then fold in the apple pieces.
02 - Fill a deep pan with about 5–7 cm of vegetable oil and warm it to 175°C (350°F).
03 - Scoop out heaping spoonfuls of batter and carefully drop them into the hot oil. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until they're golden. Move them to paper towels so they can drain.
04 - Stir together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a small bowl until smooth. Add extra sugar or milk to get the consistency you like.
05 - Dip the fritters straight into the glaze for full coverage or lightly drizzle it over the tops. Let them sit for a few minutes to firm up before digging in.

# Notes:

01 - Tastes best when still warm.
02 - Keep sealed in a container for up to 48 hours.
03 - Pop them back in a 150°C (300°F) oven to make them crispy again.
