Chicken with Wine (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tablespoon of cooking oil.
02 - 3 lbs of bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs.
03 - 2 tablespoons of butter.
04 - 3 garlic cloves, minced.
05 - 1 diced onion.
06 - A pinch of fresh thyme leaves.
07 - 1 tablespoon of flour.
08 - Seasoning mix with Italian herbs.
09 - ½ cup of dry white wine.
10 - ½ cup of heavy cream.
11 - 1 cup of chicken broth.
12 - Salt and pepper to season.

# Instructions:

01 - Turn the oven on to 400°F (200°C).
02 - Warm up some oil in a big skillet. Sprinkle chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Brown the skin side for 5 minutes, then flip and cook for 4 minutes more.
03 - Take the chicken out of the pan. Sauté the onions in butter until caramelized. Add garlic, thyme, and Italian herbs to the mix.
04 - Mix in the flour and let it absorb for a bit. Pour in wine and cook until the liquid reduces a little. Stir in broth and cream, letting it simmer until slightly thicker.
05 - Arrange the chicken back into the skillet. Leave it uncovered and bake for 35 minutes. Sprinkle some fresh thyme on top before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Serves 8 people, one thigh each.
02 - Pairs perfectly with rice or mashed potatoes.
03 - Pick a good dry white wine for best flavor.
