                Preheat the oven to 400°F and give a 9-inch pie plate a light coat of oil.

                Sauté the diced onion in a skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of oil until it softens.

                Toss the ground beef into the pan with the onions. Crumble it apart while cooking until you no longer see pink. Get rid of the grease left behind.

                Sprinkle in salt, black pepper, and as much garlic powder as you'd like to flavor the meat mix.

                Scoop the meat mixture into the greased pie plate. Scatter the shredded cheese evenly on top.

                Whisk the eggs, milk, and flour (or Bisquick) in a bowl. Pour this batter over the meat and cheese layers.

                Bake it for 20 to 25 minutes. It's done when a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
