Cheesecake Red Velvet Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 tablespoons of melted unsalted butter.
02 - 1 cup of white sugar.
03 - 1/4 cup of plain cocoa powder.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla.
05 - 1 tablespoon of red food dye.
06 - Tiny pinch of salt (1/8 teaspoon).
07 - 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar.
08 - 2 large eggs.
09 - 3/4 cup of general-purpose flour.
10 - 8 ounces of softened cream cheese.
11 - 3 tablespoons sugar for the filling.
12 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla for the filling.
13 - 1 egg yolk for the filling.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F. Use parchment to line an 8-inch pan, then butter it up.
02 - Stir together butter, sugar, cocoa, vanilla, food dye, salt, and vinegar in a bowl.
03 - Whisk your eggs in another bowl. Pour them into the mixture and gently fold in the flour.
04 - Pour batter into the lined pan, keeping 1/4 cup aside for later.
05 - Mix together cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and an egg yolk until it's smooth and creamy.
06 - Spread the cream cheese mix over the batter. Spoon bits of the reserved batter on top.
07 - Take something sharp (like a knife) and swirl the layers together.
08 - Pop it into the oven for 30 minutes. Let the pan cool fully before slicing it up.
