Honey Roasted Garlic Broccoli (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Roughly 1 ½ to 2 pounds of broccoli (around 2 big heads), chopped into florets
02 - 2 tablespoons of butter, melted
03 - 1 tablespoon of olive or avocado oil
04 - 1 tablespoon of Tamari or soy sauce
05 - 1 tablespoon of pure maple syrup or honey
06 - 2 garlic cloves, chopped finely
07 - 1 teaspoon of salt (or season to taste)
08 - ¼ teaspoon of black pepper (adjust as needed)

# Instructions:

01 - Turn on your oven and heat it up to 425°F (220°C).
02 - Chop the broccoli to remove the stems, then slice into smaller, bite-sized florets about 1-2 inches for even cooking.
03 - Grab a medium bowl and whisk together the melted butter, oil, soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth.
04 - Put the broccoli florets into the bowl of seasoning and give them a good toss to coat every piece evenly.
05 - Cover a large baking tray with parchment paper. Spread out the seasoned broccoli in one layer and bake for 15-18 minutes, until tender and lightly charred.
06 - Take the tray out of the oven and serve immediately while it's still warm and crispy.

# Notes:

01 - Keep broccoli florets the same size so they all cook evenly.
02 - Baking at high heat is key to getting crispy edges on broccoli.
03 - Cut up broccoli ahead, keep in the fridge for quick prep.
04 - Leftover broccoli stays fresh in a sealed container in the fridge for about 3-4 days.
05 - To freeze, lay broccoli on a tray so it freezes individually, then store in a freezer-safe container for 6-9 months.
06 - Reheat it in the oven for crispy texture, or use the microwave if that's easier.
