Valentine's Pizza Hearts (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Base

01 - 1 tablespoon active yeast
02 - 1 cup lukewarm water
03 - 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
04 - 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
05 - 1 teaspoon table salt
06 - 2½ cups all-purpose flour
07 - 3 tablespoons yellow cornmeal

→ Add-ons

08 - 2/3 cup tomato pizza sauce
09 - 12 thin pepperoni rounds
10 - 1⅓ cups shredded mozzarella

→ Crust Flavor

11 - 4 tablespoons butter, melted
12 - Garlic powder as needed

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the yeast with lukewarm water and sugar. Wait 5 minutes till it's foamy. Stir in the oil and salt, then slowly add flour until you've got a nice dough ball.
02 - On a floured countertop, knead the dough until it feels smooth. Throw a damp cloth or some plastic wrap over it and let it sit for 10 minutes.
03 - Split the dough into 4 equal chunks. Roll each into a circle, then make a small cut to turn it into a heart. Set them on a baking sheet sprinkled with cornmeal and lined with parchment.
04 - Prick the dough all over with a fork so it won't bubble up. Spread with sauce, sprinkle with cheese, and lay out the pepperoni.
05 - Stick in a 450°F oven for 12-15 minutes till the edges turn golden. Mix the melted butter with some garlic powder and brush it over the edges.
