# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 4 ripe bananas, sliced into 1.25 cm rounds
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
03 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
06 - Pinch of salt
07 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice

→ Garnish and Serving

09 - Chopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans, for garnish
10 - Vanilla ice cream or plain yogurt, for serving (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Melt unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg if using, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine until the mixture begins to bubble gently, about 1 minute.
02 - Place banana slices into the skillet and toss gently to coat evenly in the spiced sugar mixture.
03 - Allow the bananas to cook for 2–3 minutes on one side until caramelized, then carefully flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes on the other side. Do not overcook to preserve texture.
04 - Drizzle vanilla extract and lemon juice over the bananas. Stir gently and cook for an additional minute.
05 - Remove skillet from heat and let bananas cool slightly. Serve warm, topped with chopped nuts, and accompanied by vanilla ice cream or yogurt if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Use bananas that are ripe but not overly soft for best caramelization and texture.
